It uses the same dimensions and layout as the other Thermion 2 LRF devices, and comes with a 640\u00d7480 @ 12 \u00b5m thermal sensor with an NETD of &lt;40 mK. The objective lens is F50 \/ 1.0. The magnification ranges from 3x to 24x, so it\u2019s more focused for needs and markets where longer ranges are more usual \u2013 for instance in the USA and United Kingdom (think coyotes and foxes).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pulsar Thermal Riflescopes &amp; Clip-Ons @ TFB:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Below: The Tikka TAC A1 6.5 Creedmoor in a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefirearmblog.com\/blog\/2024\/01\/19\/tfb-review-spuhr-sics-spuhr-ideal-chassis-system\/\">Spuhr SICS chassis<\/a><\/strong> looked and worked great together with the Thermion 2 XG50 LRF.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1280738\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 660px\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Review Pulsar Thermion 2 XG50 LRF<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"price-template--20307736821965__aafbbc89-e8cb-4ee1-8a46-d40daf7028c9\" class=\"no-js-hidden\" role=\"status\">\n<div class=\" price price--large price--show-badge\">\n<div class=\"price__container\">\n<p><span class=\"price-title\">The r<\/span><span class=\"visually-hidden visually-hidden--inline\">egular price is in the region of <\/span><span class=\"price-item price-item--regular\">$6,200, and it\u2019s Made in Europe, with a Lynred sensor. It corresponds to a signal-to-noise ratio (S\/N) of 1: when the temperature difference is equal to the noise, the detector has reached its limit. It\u2019s like a \u201cthermal contrast\u201d. The lower the NETD is, the more sensitive the detector. Changing the external batteries is very easy, even in darkness. But the XP50 Pro only ranges between 2x to 16x. However, no one should say that the image quality of the XG50 is poor because it\u2019s not. During LRF ranging, the reticle on the main screen disappears and reappears once the ranging is complete. These can be adjusted to match the conditions during the hunt. I know I shouldn\u2019t, but I tend to go for Ultra most of the time. To drop around <span class=\"price-item price-item--regular\">$6,200 on any optic is kind of crazy, but the Pulsars seem to keep their value well. I never had any issues getting rid of my old ones when I wanted to upgrade, the second-hand market seems very strong. Estimating distances is hard enough with normal optics, and in the dark nothing gets easier.
