After male escort Daniel Phillip told the jury Monday that he saw \u201cSean Combs hit Cassie,\u201d a defense attorney today questioned whether he embellished the account to make Combs seem more callous.<\/p>\n

Phillip testified that after a sexual encounter at Ventura\u2019s residence, Combs threw a bottle toward her and \u201cgrabbed her by her hair and dragged her by her hair into the bedroom\u201d after she did not immediately get up from a computer to go into the bedroom as he instructed. Phillip said Combs emerged from the bedroom a while later to ask Phillip, \u201cAre you guys ready to continue?\u201d<\/p>\n

On cross-examination today, defense attorney Xavier Donaldson questioned whether Combs said something else.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsn\u2019t it true he said, \u2018You got to get out of here?\u2019\u201d Donaldson asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t recall that,\u201d Phillip responded.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Yo man, I\u2019m going to have to deal with this you need to get the f— out?\u2019\u201d Donaldson quoted Combs as saying.<\/p>\n

When Phillip responded that was not what Combs said, Donaldson confronted him with a December 2023 law enforcement report from an interview agents conducted with Phillip.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Combs told you \u2018Yo man, get the f— out,\u2019\u201d Donaldson insisted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not recall that,\u201d Phillip replied. \u201cI do not remember saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n

On re-direct examination by the prosecution, Phillip sought to clarify his statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI recall him coming out of the room and trying to get us to have sex again,\u201d Phillip said. \u201cI just recall him asking us if we\u2019re ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what did you understand that to mean?\u201d prosecutor Maureen Comey asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we\u2019re ready to have sex again,\u201d Phillip answered.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was completely shocked and messed up in my head,\u201d Phillips said, at which point, he said, Combs told him to leave.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs Sean Combs the same man who threw a liquor bottle across the room when Ms. Ventura told him to wait a minute?\u201d Comey asked.<\/p>\n
